Hi all, my wife picked up this pepper plant from our local asda supermarket in the clearance section (62p).Unfortunately it came with no labels or information. Any help in trying to identify it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Along with The species name, pubescens, means hairy, which refers to the hairy leaves of this pepper.wiriwiri said:From here it has the appearance of a Manzano Pepper..Capsicum pubescens, one distinguishing
characteristic is it's black seeds,is thick walled.Native to Bolivia &Peru...nice for sauce.

So the last thing is "What is it?" When you harvest pods a pic of a pod off the plant with a quarter for scale and one pic each of the pod split in half showing both half's and both sides, again with the quarter for scale.
The Washington Chilli Man said:Thanks again will do.

Use this (Click on it.)>Peach Pod as a model but pic of whole pod should be halved.... Don't forget the quarter!
