Just because my edibles are the one's producing the nutrient solution in the first place. =)

Typically you can't tell the exact the ratio of what macronutrients are being used and left behind by the hydroponic plants, or in soil for that matter, without some analytical lab workup.

I let soil's natural filtering and buffering do the rest with the used solution, which happens to be home for my non edibles.I avoid dumping it in the drain since its basically ends up as agricultural runoff.
