i am starting my seeds in plastic containers with papertowels when should i pull them out and put them in dirt they have little white roots on them

Plant them just as soon as you notice the little white roots. Easier to transplant and less stress on the root if done while tiny, IMO.

+1 And the roots will grow into the paper towels if you let em (not the end of the world).

Coffee filter paper has a tighter weaving and is more resistant to the roots than anything else I have used thus far.

Just when you begin to plant them make sure your hands are clean of everything or use a set of tweesers but just be gentle with the seeds for they are soft and can be damaged. So just be gentle
