Should I pick my peppers

I have 9 jalapeño plants with about 5 peppers on each one.. They have decent heat but are not turning red ... New pods have started higher on the Plants should I pick my larger green pods?.. This is my first year with a real garden any help would be appreciated

From my past experience frowing jalp's the first ones take the longest to turn. (As with all peppers I've grown) An the first ones usually cork the worst before turning red. After the first run they usually don't take as long.
