I put the wrong zip code on beer breath's address,
so it will be a delayed arrival.  Sorry to everyone
down the list. Here's what I found on-line:

What happens when you write the right
address but the wrong zip code?

Once it gets sorted there, it will either get
looked up to find the correct zip code and
be sent to the correct location. Or it may
get stamped “Undelivered” and the item
will be returned to sender.

So.  Worst case scenario. Total loss.
Second worst. It comes back to me.
Best case. It shows up at beerbreath's.

I'm holding out for #2 or #3.

Again, my apologies. I hope this doesn't
spoil anyone's holidays.
I’ll keep an eye on the tracking. I’m thinking that it will get resolved once someone takes a closer look.

A-Train: Return to station

I will be out of town for a week starting on Saturday.  Will likely be a slight delay on me getting the A-Train back on the rails.  So, just a heads up there :)
Could BB81 just skip over you to Babysas, then Babysas
could send to you, then you send to Tybo. That way there's
no pressure or delay in the train. If you were to be gone longer,
it would just keep descending in the order until you were ready.

Maybe that's more than Jeff wants to ramrod!

Looks like it is still on the tracks!

Chuggin' along, thanks to the USPS.
And during Christmas season, to boot!

The tracking page showed delivery at 10:17
this morning. Not bad for the mistaken zip
code.

Just a general question. Are the seed train packages saved
for the next seed train? Not really important, just curious.
Wondering, if that is the case, are really old seeds ever culled
out? Seems like the packages would eventually get ginormous.

Good question. What I do at the end of the run is to discard any packs that can no longer be read (smudged marker and whatnot) as well as any powders/ dried pods that have not been claimed. I also remove any of the seeds I have contributed and replace them with the current season seeds. (I urge repeat riders to do the same once they receive the train)

Otherwise everything else continues on for the next round. I urge people to put dates on their contributions, that will certainly help moving forward.

one more note, if anyone encounters poor or zero germination rates on any of the seeds they have chosen, please let me know, and I’ll remove them from the train.

Thanks for the information, Jeff.

It has been brought to my attention that there has been a few greedy riders that have cleaned out entire selections containing hundreds of seeds.

This is the kind of behavior that will cause the entire system to fail. No one will want to participate if all the good stuff gets snatched up after 2 riders.

I won’t single anyone out, yet. But if it continues, I will have to intervene.

Moving forward, please respect the honor system and keep it fair.

Also if anyone has an interest in any of the varieties I’ve contributed that were missing by the time the train has reached you, please let me know and I will send them to you myself.

Well that's pretty sorry. I took 5 varieties from the b train, totaling maybe 30 or 40 seeds, and left at least 200. No sense in being greedy folks. The purpose of the seed train is to give us all an opportunity to get our hands on a few varieties that we may not have been able to get otherwise, not to provide stock for your commercial grow. There are vendors on here for that.

When I get the B train, and if it doesn't have Khang Star Lemon Starburst, then I'll hit you up for some.  I don't recall seeing it on the A train.
