Stankar season 8

Hello to everyone in the new season  :hi:
Finally I made myself a time to create my first glog on THP so to contribute to this awesome community.
I'm growing chilli for 8th season now and I've learnt so much till now, but I'm still making a newbie mistakes unfortunately.

After my last season failure I'm heading halfway back to the basics, and halfway to the new experiments and challenges.

From my overwintered plants not many live plants left, and from my long lasting plants (5 years) only Dorset Naga cross plant is alive but seems to be dying as well.
Since I've had the seeds for this season already prepared, I let them germinate somewhere in October/November 2018, and that I would be adding more so to have more than a minimum I need for this season just in case I would screw up.
Last year I used Black Friday sales from WHP, RFC, PL, Fatalii at maximum so I have a new seeds for season 2020/2021 and maybe even 2022 :D

Strategy and plan for this season:
Try new germination techniques for better success rate. Till now it is about 50%.
Fertilize less but more regularly. Till now it was a regular fertilizing once a month or two.
Every watering with controlled Ph - about 6.00
Using worm castings and worm tea + Azomite for boosting the soil and adding trace elements.
Hydroponics - Kratky system/Wick system. Already started something and plants are surviving but not really growing at a window.
Reduce preventive nimb oil foliar spray. Full application when pests spotted for the first time.
For the maximum yield leave the plants producing till winter.

Used fertilizers and supplements:
EKOVERMES Vermesfluid 5L - local worm tea for vegetables and fruits
Azomite od Terralba - trace elements
Hoštice liquid fertilizer for tomatoes and peppers 1L - grow fertilizer
Plagron PK13/14 1L - bloom fertilizer, leftover from past seasons
CANNA Calcium 1L - when needed
BIO-NOVA Magnesium MgO-10 - when needed

Pest control:
100% Neem Oil 1L
AgroBio MOSPILAN 20 SP - against aphids
Agro Pirimor 50 WG - against aphids
AgroBio Vertimec 1,8EC - against mites, tested this season already :)
Agrobacterias Spider Plant - regeneration after pest damage and active pest control

I've had it also last year, but unfortunately I had only one pod out of it due to overfertilizing and aphids

Update: Few days ago I was re-potting more plants, smaller ones was re-potted to a bigger pots, the bigger ones to even bigger pots, etc. Basically I have half of my plants in a final pots.
Everything grows nicely due to very nice and sunny weather in here, so leaving it grow.
I ran out of a potting mix so I will have to continue somewhere next week or so when I buy some more, and I see that at least 7 or 8 plants could be re-potted to the final pots.
Brazilian Starfish in Kratky still lives, even though it was getting a hard sunlight, it is still adjusting to the roots being soaked in a water with nutrients  :P

PS: Don't look at the sun shield made from a cardboard and a thermal blanket foil, it is just a temporary solution until they are all in a final pots, then I will make it attached on individual pots.

Plants are looking great, Stankar.

Don't apologize for the cardboard.
Ghetto is good!

And easy.

And cheap!

Update:  Due to the perfect weather conditions in here this weekend I spent the whole day around my plants, prepared all needed for re-potting, and found some time to make some spring cleanup.
All my pepper plants are now growing in the final pots, but I've had a bit problem with what variety should be potted to which pot size, even though I had the list prepared I may have messed up. I will re-check tomorrow just to make sure, I believe I did it right tho :)
From the tomato plants I picked 4 strong and potted them into the final 11L pots. I'm growing tomatoes for the first time from seeds, but I think they should survive and grow nicely in the large pots as of now.
Potting mix I have overwintered was probably infected by some kind of a virus or was dead without any nutrients becase my Haba Yellow and Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw potted in it were showing some issues on leaves and stunted grow, but just from the curiosity I have trimmed of the affected leaves and let them be in the same mix for now. Next time I need to watch carefully what I've had in my mix and if it's worth overwintering it.
For the main re-potting I have used gardening mix, perlite, coco coir, worm castings, azomite.

I will work on the shielding of the pots individually, so to do not get the roots burned because of the black containers.

Tomatoes, I hope they will produce something, otherwise I'm giving up on them and will not grow them anymore.

Update: I have taken another shots of my plants and they are doing great, especially to my herbs which made a garden out of my room :D
Another plants started to produce some fruits, and I see a first seed swap, Pink Tiger x Peach Bhut, which is beautiful purple with a purple small pod, looking forward to this one :)
Another plants like Andy's King BOC, 7Pot BBG Red, Dorset Naga, Haba Chocolate, BOC x JPGS, MOA Scotch Bonnet RFC started to produce, however it doesn't look very productive so far.
Tomatoes are growing nicely, and I'm still topping it so to do not overgrow my balcony. They started to flower, so hopefully will have some home grown tomatoes soon :)
I'm starting to switch fertilizer to Biobizz Bloom which I'm using with every watering, but in 1/4 of recommended dosage, and of course Ph regulating between 5.5-6.5. I don't see any nutrient deficiencies or overfertilizing, so I think it's finally good and balanced.

Apologies, but I will not be posting any photos here since I'm tired of making new posts here on this forum, it's really full of bugs and outdated.
