Stenno's 2011/2012 Grow

This is my first year growing, I have a fair number of varieties to see how they go and see what I like for future grows. Fingers crossed they make it that far :)
Some of these will be going into pots, some in the ground. Basically to see what works best for me.

I only recently discovered this board so will add a few pics and descriptions all at once to bring this up to date.

Not good news about the Choc Fatalii S.S.Tuperware, I'll see how mine go, this is basically a test year so it will be culled pretty quickly if mine turn out the same as yours :)

I have over the last couple of days transplanted the other 12 of my original seedlings to small pots that are now outside.

29 Plants now outside
(pic is a bit dodgy, some marigold seedlings in the green and blue trays also)

Butch T - 9
Choc Hab - 4
Orange Hab - 2
Bhut - 2
Fatalii - 2
Jalapeno - 3
Peter Pepper - 3
Birds Eye - 4

The 5 Big Pots are 430mm and have 1 each of Choc Hab, Butch T, Bhut, Fatalii, Orange Hab. Smaller pots are 140mm - these guys will hopefully end up in the ground.

More sprouts out today :)

2 Orange Manzano Rocoto
2 White Habanero
1 Yellow 7 Pod
And another Fatalii

The Yellow 7 Pod I'm happiest about as they weren't playing the game last time, much more confident 1 will make it to maturity now I have 4 going :)

On another note, do rabbits eat chilli plants? There has been one hanging around scoping out the garden I'm about to plant in shortly.

Yes kill! Traps are illegal now but other means of dispatch are not.
Lil mo fos will eat you out. Get a bow and get good at it, i got one here you can lend!

I have just returned from a week up at Surfers, what a great break.

A few casualties while I was away with the seedlings inside from drying out too much, luckily I have more of the ones that didnt make it.
I just planted out the following into small 140mm pots outside:
4 x Orange Rocoto Manzano
4 x Yellow 7 Pods
2 x Choc Fatalii
2 x Czech Black
1 x White Habanero
1 x Nagabon
Another 20 or so will be planted in pots outside in another week or so once they get a bit bigger.

Outside all is good apart from a Choc Hab that has been snapped at the base, I removed the lower leaves and stuck it in the soil further but Im not expecting it to make it. A few leaves are looking a little worse for wear on some other plants from slugs eating them, was outside picking them off at 11pm last night. Time to add some snail bait around the bottom of the pots.

Should get some of the outside plants into the garden this week too.
