Wow, an applesauce topper. I have to say, that 3 Musketeers salad doesn't exactly sound German, certainly not old school German. Just sayin'..
But it is.. Just sayin'

It's Apple, raspberry and cherry with chunks of Milky way (our bars are without caramel, like your 3 m bars - I believe it originated in US occupied bases in Germany)

Awwww-!! I already hadda give up booze, sex, drugs and rock-n'-roll... Now i gotta give up eatin'...

...snicker's salads, fish sperm.... Sheesh !!!

I oughta submit my wicked stepmother's recipe for peanut butter/tuna fish/chocolate chip surprise...

...and get this thread locked out, for unlawful mental cruelty!!

Not fondue.

That's cooking meat & bread and such in molten cheese. This is "hot pot".

Thin sliced marinated chicken & beef, veggies and shrimp - you take a couple of each, drop them into a wide wire basket & sorta simmer them in the hot chicken stock until cooked.

It's not boiling. - more simmering.

And it is delicious.

I just googled it - it's totally a thing. And it was my favorite family meal growing up. We did it at least a few times a month.

Thanks for this.

Definitely worth trying. Super tiny & fun for the family.

It's always perfect for Danielle and I (who don't agree about very many dishes - at all) to make things with a common base ingredient and then we'll each pretty much choose our own adventure from there ...

I'll slice beef ...

She'll slice chicken ...

There's *very* little overlap, LOL ...

I want to see one of those baskets on a stick.  LDHS, what type marinades did you use, and what type dipping sauces?  This sounds like a slow paced meal that could take hours.  Marvelous!

Would these be the baskets?
