Sugar Beets seeds

Hello,

i want to try to grow some sugar beets this year.

anywone here with some spare seeds?

im in canada willing to pay for shipping or trade with pepper seeds.
thanks

Shoot, I was going to offer to drop some in the mail for you if I had them, but when I looked, all I had was some "detroit dark red", and some "tall top early wonder" seeds....If I see any in town today, i'll pick up a pack, but a bit unlikely to see them around here in stores....

I have some beet seed that I can spare. I have about 200 seeds for the variety Merlin. I am not sure if they qualify as a "sugar beet" but I can honestly say I am not an expert on beets. These were from last year, decided not to grow any beets this year. This was a good producer last Spring for us, unfortunately it didn't do great at the farmer's market.

PM me if your are interested.

Well, no luck finding them in town, but if you want the red beet seeds I have, pm me, an address, I would be happy to mail them to you.
We grew a ton of them last year, and are skipping them this year.
It's not a ton of seeds, but there is a bit of them.

i have never seen them in a retail outlet but know they grow them in the southern part of Alberta(Lethbridge) and have a sugar processing plant.
if you have to buy them in canada, richters has them listed on their website.
i am planning to hit a few nurseries tomorrow and will keep my eyes opened for them.

Ok guys i havefound some from a seed seller in Nova Scotia

sugar Beets should look like that:

sugar beets are loaded with GMO
and that site says: "to the best of our knowledge are 100% GMO free."
so they don't know
