I clearly did not grease my bundt pan well enough....oh well it still tastes good.  The cake is flavored in such a way that it goes perfect with morning coffee and it keeps calling me back to eat more.

I was actually hoping that it would be boozier.  I boiled off a bit of the alcohol in the booze that I used.  I shouldn't have done that.

     I bet if you were to cut a nice sandwich sized slice of that cake and grill it (like a grilled cheese sandwich), it would hold up to at least a half pound of pulled pork. Plus sauce.

I like the sweetness of corn bread with pulled pork and BBQ sauce, it's not half crazy........ sweet, smoky always play well.

     Yeah. With just a thin, vinegary, spicy sauce.

It would hold up to more cooking because it's a fairly ridged cake.  I have no puled pork atm but I think I know where I can get some.

I like having the gritty texture instead of just the light rainy texture you get from regular cornmeal.  My wife turned me onto the polenta.
She's not from the south either.

No but I do add creamed corn

I would encourage anyone to add some polenta to their cornbread too.
