Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

thank you. I sure hope so.

I really want to try this magical cross you guys keep talking about. lol
The flavor is pretty decent for a hottie.

Everyone who tries this pepper is surprised
by the heat, so watchala   :P

I have been very absent due to life issues but I am so stoked to see all of these amazing plants and watch my initial project take shape world wide. Paul you are the real star in this show keeping these genetics going for so many seasons.
Some amazing growers on board ... It seems this hybrid has become a real winner.
I hope to be more available in the coming months and get more involved again.
Well done everyone ... !!

Really glad to see you on the forum, Tristen! Been
missing your made skills in a grow log!

Lots has happened the past few months! You are
right about the great crew that signed on for the F7
grow. The white pods have been more scarce, it seems.
Maybe we should call it Tristens Violet Surprise!

Those look to be right on schedule, bookers.
Can't wait to see those ivory pods!

So I was supposed to honor that film at 11? :shh: Let's set a date for when the highs are below mid 90's and they don't look like I forgot to water them..LOL

Plants are looking great Paul! The cooler weather really makes them shine. The cross is surely one of the more prolific ones I've grown.

I'm glad you found Tristen's cross to be to your
liking, Scott. It has been fun growing it out.

Really looking forward to seeing your, and everyone
else's, results as the season draws to a close. Hope
you get a little break in the temperatures. That heat
sux, alright.

I need to get a new pic of the one pod I found its gone pale from the org purple.  the plants are really growing now, closing in on four feet.

So awesome, Scott - that has turned out to be a
show-stopper! Beautiful foliage contrast with the
rest of the plants. Is it from the purple or white
seed, can't remember. Looking forward to seeing
your pod when it's ripe.

Thank you. The plants really stand out among the average green leaves. Im not sure which color pods the seeds came from. I still need to ask sawyer what his was.
