wahlee's 2013

Haven't been here yet this season, due to lack of time. Decided to start a 2013 glog, however. Hope you still enjoy.

The dutch weather's been crap this year and I've been too busy at work, so I hadn't had as much time for my plants as I would like.

I'try to post more soon. With the weather changing for the better, I'm spending more time on my plants. Weird, isn't it :P ?

edit: added my growlist 2013

So, some more pics :P

with the summer finally getting started with a lot of sun and rising temperatures, my plants are getting happier by the day

Trinidad beans; with the first bunch of peppers looking more like peas, newer pods are getting bigger and better shaped

More pics coming soon!!

Awesome grow Wahlee but something about that Aji Lemon doesn't look right to me. Do the flower petals have green markings or are they plain white?

That Chinchi Uchu looks more like Aji Lemon to me. The pods typically start upright before hanging down once they get larger & the pod shape is spot on. If it has flowers that look like this then I'd say that's your Aji Lemon:

Anyway not trying to hijack your thread, things are looking great man!

Since I don't consider myself an expert, any help will do. I've taken three pictures of plant that are in some way similar

So, if my Chinchi Uchu is an aji limon, then what would my aji limon be

Haha you got me on that last question, but the ones that have the green flower petals are definitely C. Baccatums (Ajis are baccatums too). So the Criolla Sella looks right since it's a baccatum, but from what I've read the chinchi uchu is a C. Annum so it would have the solid white flowers most likely.

Guess we'll have to wait til they start ripening & see what color they turn. I love a good mystery!

First pick of the season

7-pod Jonahs, still very small. There are a few bigger ones on the plants, but nothing spectacular. Yet. Good thing I don't eat these :P

Trindad Beans, still look look like peas. But this plant has lots of them and getting bigger and better shaped

Yes, I know it's only july 2013. But I decided to start the 2014 season today anyway

Just sown four Primo's. Last year I started Jonah's in october and they are strong plant now. If it wasn't for the worst spring ever, they'd be giving a lot of big peppers now :P .
So let's see what they will do and if they give me nice, but deadly peppers next year. Keeps me busy ;)

More good news; first Red Devil's Tongue
P1110367_zps885fd76b.jpg

Lookin good! Is that thai basil I spy in this pic though?:

uMdCEQ9.png

If so you gotta pinch those flowers! If you let basil flower it will stop growing & get bitter. If you pinch flower buds as they form the basil will get huge & bushy too.

Looking forward to pics of some of those ripe peach habs!

I don't think so, but I wouldn't know. I'll have to ask the wife :P

Anyway, some more pics

could be thai basil

Habanero Peach, same story, different color :P

Overwintered Cajamarca getting happier. Last year, this one was late as well, but more than made up for it
P1110379_zps11e32a89.jpg

Scotch Bonnet Red, first color
P1110378_zps2f87b913.jpg

Criolla Sella, loaded with pods
P1110376_zps7a61117b.jpg

Trinidad Congo Red
P1110375_zpsb16a0bb3.jpg

Habanero Chocolate Lightning, lots of little bastards
P1110374_zps768d6a39.jpg

Hahah upon closer inspection I don't believe that is basil, leaves don't look right. You had better avoid pinching flowers on anything belonging to the wife lol, I'd hate to be responsible for someone sleeping on a couch half a world away.

That 7pod Jonah is awesome, I just love the way pods look in that in-between state where they fade from red to green.

Hi Wally, you've got some nice plants going, and with the weather finally warming up, they look like they're growing up quickly. Good on ya, and good luck with your grow this year!

Not much tay say right now, just that two of my Primo's have come up
This is fortunate because I seem to have lost the rest of my Primo seeds :mope: , so no seeds available to trade anymore (Primo seeds that is)

P1110492_zpsd9a72183.jpg

P1110489_zps5a63f4b4.jpg

Edit; found my Primo seeds. :banghead: Just where they should be, somewhere with the rest of the seeds. Good thing my head's stuck to my body.
