what size net pot for a single dwc

Hey guys what size net pot should I use? Ive got a 17L bucket and some 78mm net pots but I dont know if theyre too small. It shouldn't matter should it since the roots grow into the bucket not the net pot.

Only issue with the small net cups is that they provide no real ability to stabilize the plant when it starts to get really big. i.e. you will have to creatively stake it a lot sooner than you will with one of those 8 or 10" net pots that act as a lid to the 5 gallon bucket.

That being said, I have started them in 3.75" net cups before and had no issues with the full sized plant in one that small. The roots grow right through.

You'll have to stake them all eventually, but bigger net cups give you more time.

Look how big mine were when I finally staked them.
