pests What's this bug and do I want it on my plants?

Anybody know what this bug is and should I squash it? Normally, I would just kill it, but I'm going to see if it might be beneficial first. I didn't see it eating the plant so I left it for the time being . . .

Pepper content: It's sitting on a Scotch Bonnet :)

Indoor or outdoor?

I just put it outdoors and that thing started squatting on it within 5 minutes.

The pic's too small to make it out very well, but it could be an assassin bug, which are beneficial.

You didn't click on the pic, did you? Try it ;)

I think you guys are right about it being an assassin bug. My first pic shows a large proboscis (I thought it was a leg at first lol). Thanks all for the help!

After further research, I think it's a damsel bug. Similar to an assassin but its neck is thicker than the head and the antennae are short and stubby. The hind legs also look thicker than they should be, kinda like grasshopper legs.
