I see a lot of people growing the Trinidad Perfume pepper, but hardly anyone growing the Trinidad Seasoning pepper. I've grown them both, and while the Trinidad Perfume is a beautiful pepper, I found the Trinidad Seasoning to be handier for cooking and eating. Has anyone else tried the Trinidad Seasoning?

Are trinidad seasoning and tobago seasoning the same? I assume they are.

No, I grew both this year. The Tobago Seasoning pepper is more wrinkled and hab looking than the Trinidad Seasoning. I think the Trinidad Seasoning is, um, more sweet/fruity and less habanero fruity tasting than the Tobago Seasoning, if that makes sense.

I'll post some pictures from home tonight.

Thanks Pam. According to the chileman's site they are the same but I'm sure now that that's wrong. Now I have to find me some Trinidad seasoning peppers too. I'm also looking for Tobago sweet scotch bonnet.

Why? taste better or what.
And do these heatless hab really taste like regular habs? Or do they taste more like bell peppers?

habman - I grew aji dulce 2 & trinidad perfume last season thinking cool a habanero taste w/o the heat that should be interesting. well they dont taste like a habanero whats so ever IMO more like a bell pepper. I wont waste my time with these ever again.

I don't think you're going to have a problem staying warm QuebecFire. :mouthonfire: Nice list. Mine's going to look a lot like that too.

You know, some bells actually taste good.
Caribbean Hot is one tasty pepper, though. :drooling:

yeah I like bell peppers but I crave the hab flavor.
Humm yeah forgot about my caribbean habs they are just awesome. Need to add then to my list. :)

Habman - its just my opinion about those heatless hab types. but like its been said, theres some bell peppers that taste great & IMO better than those heatless habs also more bang for your buck - more pepper flesh vs little hab types.

Here's my huge, extensive, amazing grow list:

Naga Morich
Orange Habanero

Too many peppers...
How are you gonna grow all of them? it's not possible!
Only two kinds is ok, but two really hot ones? what about Jalapeño or something? ;)

Small list but a good choice.
Naga and orange hab are prolific plants and produce very tasty and blistering hot pods.
If I could only grow one hab I would choose Caribbean hab but that's just my preference.
