Wild Worm Castings

I'm just curious, can you use wild worm castings (by wild I mean the ones you find scattered about the place on lawns etc). I never got round to starting a worm bin but have quite a few castings scattered about the place.

They are little nuggets of "black gold".  Packed full of fresh, live micro critters. GO GET 'EM !!
