Do you guys have any clue?

They are plastic bottles, I cut a door in the side too put everything in... And will just cut them open when done.

They act like Little greenhouses, so not much water is needed.

Nice healthy looking wee plantts Mitzi. When did you start them? Did you get yourself a grow light?

Started late Nov / early Dec.  The Scotch Bonnet germinated 15th December.

I got a little IKEA LED light over the propagator and a Secret Jardin TLED grow light for the ones that have been potted up.  They seem to love it.

I'm well behind you this year, not even started yet! Off next week so i'll plant a few. I kept 4 of last years plants and stuck them on the windowsill, looking ok so far. The rest i left in the greenhouse to see if any could survive a Scottish winter, more in hope than expectation! Of the 27 plants left in the greenhouse 13 still have green growth, a few are putting out new shoots and one apache is looking great! Just gave them a wee water with some weak ferts added. Temps have been down to minus 6/7 on occasion so it shows how hardy some varieties are. Winter isn't over yet of course but the wee guys have half a chance of making it.

Have been thinking about buying growlights and heat mats, but germinating on the side of my fridge in magnetic containers from Ikea works pretty good. And normally have a pretty good result in getting the plants big enough to move outside.

Would love to have a more professional set up, but a lot of my fun comes from trying to find solutions that work for me

I was just too impatient to try all my new varieties.  I've got baccatums from the Seed Train popping up now (Aji Pineapple and Melocoton) plus the Omnicolor I sowed earlier.

I hope I will have some seeds to add to the train next time round but worried that everyone will already have what I'm growing.  We can but see.  I've just ordered some wedding favour bags to isolate the flowers.

I'm just starting today, I figured that since I don't have grow lights, each year the same thibg happens. I just get a bunch of seedlings with nowhere to go so they just grow tall looking for ligbt

Hello everybody,

From train I received variete : AJI LAMBO and the plant looks like very good, and actually I have 3plants and all 3 has flowers. I think seeds was from Tango so I would like to ask Tango or anybody for more information or photo of this variete.

So much success so soon! I haven't got a single fruit yet but then, several of my varieties were put on to germinate late due to space.
I got a sprout from the Chilhuacle Rojos, though, that's what most excites me and I do have flowers starting.

I take it I'm out as far as next year is concerned?

Hey!

Would anyone be interested in fueling a Heirloom seed train (tomato, zucchini, cucumbers, ... as long as there is no hybrid/F1 crap) alongside the current chili seed train?

I don't only grow peppers, but a whole vegetable garden. I wonder if most of you do the same?

Just a thought.

Issue is the weight of the seeds and parcel is getting bigger. Postage will be more expensive. I say tomatoes are no problem, heavy seeds could be an issue. Just saying.
