Blackberry hot sauce?

Basically, I had the idea of making a hot sauce based on blackberries.


So, I wondered if anybody has some recipe ideas?

I will have Red Rocotos and Morugas, and an unspecified superhot peppers to choose from. Possibly some Scotch Bonnets or Tabasco too.
 
Are you going to ferment or make a fresh sauce. Savory or sweet? Did you look through sauce making thread should find tons of great recipes :) love fruit based sauces! I use roasted garlic and shallots some ginger and lime juice. I also fortify sauce with organic berry juice if I want additional sweetness I use honey. :)
 
Thanks for the pointers... here's what I went for;

370g blackberries
4x small apples, cored
3x chipotles, rehydrated
1x brown superhot
1 cup rice vinegar
1.5 cup water
3TBS honey
1tsp xanthan gum

All blended, simmered, sieved and simmered again. Then bottled hot.

It has worked well with breaded chicken, jacket potato and as a steak sauce.
