How the hell do you get a beanstalk like that to grow in 2 cubic inches of soil?
Also... were you aware of the fact that it is Gentle Giant album art when you said bean stalk?!?!?!    I used the Gentle Giant album cover because I thought it would give bpiela a kick  :P

They're an innnnterrresting group.   ;)
I'm old enough to have heard OF them, but don't remember knowingly listening any of their music.

I just checked my records and I'm within the time frame (no germs on the seeds). I'm hesitant to pick a pepper yet as it seems I have a second Opossum (got one) hitting the garden. So far they have ate 21 peppers done to soil level. I think Bugs Bunny said it best "dis means war!" I have a live trap and snares setup in a Peach tree that it's systematically eating all the young Peaches. The remaining peppers have an assortment of tomato cages with either tin foil or packing paper around them and 5 gallon buckets with the bottoms cut out around the rest. Sneaking around the garden at 3AM in my undies with a flashlight and a 22 is getting old...LOL

I'm hoping for results real soon.

Sounds like your dogs aren't doing their job.

I saw it and I very much appreciated it!  Cool puzzle.  I got to get one of those.

Unfortunately I don't have any tall growers out there...I do have a very healthy P. Onore which is less that 2 months old.

She'll  be a sprawler...but I'll try to make her go up and see how this works. Seed from Pr0digal_son by way of Jamie (Romy6).

I am gracefully bowing out of the competition. None of my second batch germinated and I think at this point I am out of the window for viable seeds.  I will anxiously watch from the sidelines this year.

A HUGE thank you for putting on the competition, I couldn't imagine trying to do something life this. I am so grateful every time I see the generosity of pepper people.

The garden is way out of their roam area, but the one I did get was in their area, and they treed it, and came and got me when I got home taking me to it. I can't let the dogs have access to the garden, they just want to "help" to much. IE: replanting, "their way". They tend to take the mulching idea way overboard!
