Help the mad scientist.

 I am making my first 10 lbs of basement dried salami.One of the items on one recipe calls for a starter(bacto ferm T-spx)to get things moving.
   My question is could i use IFLORA lacto pills(i have for ferments) instead or not.I think they are 2 diff,starters so I put the question to u my friends.
   Do u have an alt starter if I do not have T-spx.

Wow ive made many salami's before but not fermented usally just curing salts and keep everthing extremly cold. while processing. very interested to see your process.
