Don't mean to hijack this thread but that made me think of back when it was a common thing to open a small hole in the hotdog or sausage wrapper and fill it full of beer. Then just toss it on the grill like that (usually wood or charcoal fire). The plastic wouldn't burn unless all the beer evaporated. Besides, the burnt beer flavor hid all the burnt plastic taste.
Funny how what was considered normal in the past seems totally insane nowadays.
