Looks like the pods on the F5-4 are going to be
closer to Tristen's goal of yellow pods. Not too
dark, but still a pale yellow. A few are going to white:

Have you thought of a name for them, yet, Tristen?

Awesome Paul ... Certainly have the genetics carried through nicely from both my original parent plants. The shape of the pods are very much like the parent PDN but with more elongation I guess from the bonda. We couldn't have hoped for a better outcome when we started this project and thanks to you it is finally almost there!
As for a name well how about "TripPaul Lightning" ...the additional play on the word triple being the 3 dominant colours, originally developed across 3 countries and both parent plants having 3 parts to their names (PDN and BMJ) ...

Latest harvest's seed pods. Still nice weather ahead, so am hoping
for lots more good seed stock to come. As always, it's a race against
the Fall weather, but there are some awesome pods on the plants, still.
Will try to grab a pic or three soon:

I hope you will sign on to grow out the F6 when the seed is ready.

Thanks for being a loyal follower, Sim. Hopefully there will be lots
more to come as more people start to grow out the F6 and beyond!

Hey, my friend! How is everything?

There are some great looking pods left on the plant, a few
very gnarly and wicked; hoping for a long finish to the grow season!

I think TripleLightening sounds good, with those in the know under-
standing the references you explain. But, my friend, the pod is your
creation, and yours to name. I think it should reflect something
meaningful to you whatever the case. You have a while to think about
it, with next round being the F6. The F7 will be here before you know it,
and then we'll see what's up!

Some pics now, text later...

Thought you might like to see the powders from the first four
generations of Tristen's cross. As far as I know, they are the
only ones in existence :rofl:

F1 through F4 left to right. This
year's will be darker since my drier is running too hot. Jar #3
was dried at a lower temp to preserve color, so is most true:

The F5-2 plant is from a different pod than the other three. It
has been slower at every stage from germination onward, and
is continuing the trend with ripening up.There are some unusually
beefy pods, though, and I really hope they will ripen up. Sunny
today and tomorrow, then a week of showers and partly sunny.
Always hope! They have lightened a bit since this pic was taken:

Last two pods on F5-1, hoping for ripening here, as well. Great looking pods.

The top pic shows some of the F5 cross picked at the purple/white
stage. The taste is not unpleasant and the heat is definitely there.
In Spades! The seeds appear viable - going to do a germ test this
Fall or Winter. I think the pods look like candy!

Pic 2 -the last two pods on F5-1 are getting closer to ripeness!

Pic 3 - the deseeded pods in the dryer. The powder turns out to
be light colored with tiny purple specks in it. Will post a pic in
near future.

Thanks! I like to de-seed the pods before drying so that the
powders are finer. You can grind with the seeds left in, and
then sift the seeds out, but there are always lots of seed
fragments left behind in the powder. Some folks just leave
the seeds in and don't worry about it. It's just a matter of
personal preference, I guess.
