Chilidude season 2018

Last year was pretty much a disaster, the summer turned out to be a very cold and sunless thing, so i didnt get much of anything to eat and all my efforts did go to waste.

But i am willing to try again growing those chilis, so i am not giving up so easy.

I got two last year fully grown Hot paper lanterns, so they should produce some even if the summer is not so perfect, also will grow these from seeds:

Naga morich.
Bonda ma jacques.
Petenero.
Aji golden.
Aji erotica.(baccatum erotica)
Lemon drop.
Aji crystal.
Aji pineapple.
Queen laurie.
Locato.

This time around pretty safe chilis to survive cooler climates in my opinion, inside my greenhouse.

Has your daily temperatures settled down “ back to normal “?

Not yet it you compare this to a typical semi cold Finnish summer and the night temperatures just started to climb up. This year we might even break the record for most sunny days in total in the summer time for the 21st century thus far if this keeps on going and i cant even begin to imagine how big the chilis will get in the end of the season.

They are looking great [emoji106]. What are your temperatures in your greenhouse. Hopefully you don’t need to install AC in it. [emoji16]

Temps are fine for chilis, also i can keep the door wide open all day long and they love the cooling wind coming from the doorway.

Here's hoping to a hot summer for you. Last year was a bust for me too. It was hot, but we had the biggest fire in the history of the province, so that pretty much killed my season. I lost interest in my plants and everything else for that matter.

Grow is off to a good start this year though.

Our spring have been record breaking hot, so we might even have a decent summer incoming but we will see. This season is nothing compared to the last all rain all day season when i did not get any chilis at all.

Plants are looking great. How’s your rain water reserves holding up?

What rainwater reserves????We have not had proper rain for maybe a month now, so i have no rainwater to give to the plants. They have been getting tapwater for several weeks now and they are doing fine, i still dont own a ph meter either as i have figured out what was the problem in my indoor
growing. :P

They will get rainwater once it rains enough, perhaps next week we will see some rain.

Looks great. Looks like you have room for more plants in your greenhouse. [emoji16]

No more room left in my greenhouse in a month or two when they grow much bigger. I also need to keep a clear path in middle of the room to take care of them and i also like to sit on the small stool to observe them while they grow.

Some fresh pics:

Queen laurie in the left is yet to open any flowers thus far, but i am sure it will open some of those flowers in a week:

The nicely growing Aji cristal in the left will soon open it's first flowers of the year:

This year's overall summer weather have been really good so far, so i am sure i will have that chili jungle in the end of the season if this keeps up.

Good looking plants, those will fill up that greenhouse in no time , the next couple of weeks should be the best.

Enjoy![emoji263]

Mid june onwards is usually the time they start rapidly grow if the season is ok, so in a few weeks they might even become almost double the size they are now.
