SKULLBIKER’S Let’s See How It Goes in 2018 GLOG

I thought that after a year off because I could barely walk(I have a new knee now that is working much better), that I would try to post another glog. Im not going super wild and Im using seeds saved or purchased from 2013 to 2015, with most of them from the older end of the range! Im going to try for 1 or 2 each on the super-hots and 2 to many on the more edible, table friendly peppers. As usual, I will go heavy on the jalapenos and cherry bombs. Anyway here is my list. (subject to change without notice)

Well, I had set up my super high tech system for testing the germination on my old seeds and after two weeks some of them seem to be popping!

Some of the separated seedlings in the nute cups are showing good root growth after about 2 weeks so Ill pick a few for Kratky hydro and pot up the rest.

Now, wait for them to grow(hopefully my new nutrient mix wont kill them).

The tale of the tiny seedling. This year instead of culling the extra seedlings in each starter cell, I saved every one(with no losses to date). Here is a teeny, tiny Red Moruga Scorpion seedling from the day it stood up in the dirt. The leaves werent spread open yet and it barely had a root. I stuck it in a cloning disk that I had cut in half to make it thinner.

I then put it in a small dixie cup filled with my special blend full strength Kratky juice.

Two days later the cotys were spread open.

This is it as of last night. Soon Ill have to decide if I want to put it in dirt or into a full Kratky setup. Also, this is under T8 8000K lamps.

After doing the save every seedling thing this year, I now have nearly 150 plants going so its time to cull the herd. I gave these plants away to a coworker and have about 30 more picked out to try and sell.

Time for an update on the tale of the tiny seedling. Its flourishing quite nicely and tomorrow it will become another member of the Kratky family. Heres the last look in the 7 oz glass.

Update on the Energizer Bunny like Reaper plant. Still pushing upwards at quite a fast rate. Tomorrow it gets moved from the 1 gal pot to a 2 gal pot. It has passed the three can measure. I also gave it a nice little bamboo stake so I dont accidentally snap it off!

I had to move a bunch of my plants out of my grow room as they are now too tall for my shelf spacing in there. Hopefully it will start warming up enough to get into the greenhouse soon(it was 0 degrees farenheight here at 6 am this morning). I took time to snap a few pics as I moved a few.
