Seeds from Pepperlover arrived so now it just a matter of starting more seedlings and waiting on the CCN order.

Judy included a couple freebies and the malih helow sounds like i will probably try it too.

This year it might turn out more like

DaPowda....because lots of the plants will work well for that and my ancient dehydrator still works great. I love sweet heat powders. MWCH also sent a couple supers/bonnets along as freebies. All browns which ive never grown before.

I promise I'll quit dropping my pics in your thread, dude ;)

Just wanted to say that the Trinidad Perfume plant I ordered from CCN in 2016 was probably the most prolific plant I've ever grown

Hopefully it does well for you too

I hope so. I really want a very mild chinense for adding to curry and things like black beans soup.

Aji Arnaucho...TGCM seeds. 6 for 6 germinated in just 5 days at room temp in a paper wet towel.

1 of the 2 Miraflores Market Rocotos didnt make it. The other one is doing fine though. It just lost its "helmet" and grew 2 more leaves.

These MWCH MOA Reds are easy to germinate. 100% success. I was only hoping for one but now i will try to save all 3.

PJ8AoXd.jpg

I should have at least 5-6 P. Dreadies from TGCM popping up soon now too.

6 for 6 germinated and now 5 Aji Arnaucho have popped up

cC8BxLk.jpg

BTW Mennards has this on sale for under $6/1cuft bag. Normally about $6.50 a bag. Its what im using for seedlings this year. Im using 1/3 strength CNS17 Grow 3-1-2 for feeding.

Looks like pretty good stuff.

Well most of the Mini Rocotos germinated. I got 5 of the 6 in jiffy pots now. I really prefer the paper towel method to germinate then move them to a small starter pots. It took about 2 weeks.

I need to try a couple more Miraflores rocotos in a paper towel now. I would like to have 1-2 more of those.

6 for 6 on the P Dreadies. All of them are coming up in the starter pots. Went to Costco and bought a 250 pack of Solo type cups for about $9.

I do trades with a local guy who sells local honey. So any extras will probably have a good home too. Im keeping at least 4 the P. Dreadies though and maybe all of them. :D Ive already got a spot picked out for them that is a good distance away from any other peppers.

A couple of the Mini Red Rocotos just popped through

Miraflores Market Rocoto in the back

MOA Reds and another Mini Red in the rear...almost forgot about that one.

Aji Arnaucho seems to be a odd looking pepper sofar. Leaves are long and stems are really dark.

P. Dreadies...4 looking good but 2 are struggling.

Added another cheapo fixture and some 8000K T8s. My grow table is 4ft long and 2 fixtures left about 8" on the side uncovered which is about perfect fit for another fixture.

nvqvmfV.jpg

4 of the 5 Aleppos have begun to pop through. Germination rate at room temp was excellent on Eds seeds BTW.

Farmers Market, Mucho Nacho, Biker Billy (HUGE thanks to MWCH on that one) and Chichimeca are getting started today or tomorrow. Just gunna try the small jiffy pot 2x4 trays for germination to save on space. I just need 2 of each to round out my jalapeno grow.

hey just read through and you mentioned switching up your "Aji's".

i think many people connect "aji" to fruitier baccatum sp, but those you listed, Aji Limo, Arnaucho, and panca are all chinense. they are all great peppers, but they may not be the aji's you're expecting.

best of luck on a perfect dreadie pheno and the pubes as well!

I requested a month earlier ship date than last year from CCN. (ship wk 4/9/2018). I think im gunna go ahead and get the mini greenhouse from Menards just for hardening off and getting plants outside a tiny bit earlier. Im almost out of room inside now. AGAIN

XJGH-018A.jpg

5 Aleppo in solo cups (DONE)

Potting mix is soaking in the jiffy strip trays atm for the jalapenos. Got it in the domed tray under the lights and on the matt just to warm it up a bit. I sure hope the Chichi grow true since its a hybrid, Trying mucho nacho from seeds i got from my Bonnie plants but those plants i can easily get. Not sure if i can find another chichi from the same guy as last year.
