NEED SOME HELP!!

last night got a wild hair up my you know what and went into the local hispanic store and bought a bag of corn tortias(flat cold corn round things)anyway i saw the other night on good eats alton brown cut these suckers up into diamonds and deep fry em and i gotta admit these were some of the best chips i ever ate...crispy and good....now my mind is wondering i want to wrap these sucker up with some chili inside and them mabey put some cheese on the outside.......now.....how to cook em.....i feel like if i wrap up some chili inside and thow it in the deep fryer it will fall apart and go to crap.
or do i wrap em up and fry them like i would fry a piece of chicken....that or bake em........what would yall do?

I personally just wrap the tortillas in foil aand bake in the oven for 10 minutes on 275F. Then when you put stuff in them they don't rip and they're easier to roll.

rolled chili taquitos. they will ususally stay closed from the starch in the tortilla. a little butter brush or egg wash where they close will work too. top them with shredded cheese as soon as they are out of the oil and they'll be hot enough to melt it without more cooking. deep frying is the only way you'll get that exact crunch.

Try this:

Buy some medium to thick wonton skins. Lay out, moisten edges with water. Plop some filling (teaspoon) of your choice in the middle (shredded cheese and jalps is my fav), fold over, trying to get all of the air out. You now have a rectangular thing with a blob of good stuff in the middle, kinda like a deformed ravioli. I then fold the two corners back together over the blob of filling and pinch together. Fire up the fry daddy. Drop in a few at a time for a coupla minutes. Drain on paper towel, top with hot sauce, enjoy.

I'm now hungry, and it's another hour 'till lunch!! At least I have some DC's Bottled Up Anger to go with my frozen burritos!
