Man this is hard... SL... mouthwatering flavors, and simple elegance. Scovie with the awesome mole and I like those jalapeno rings scattered on the plate... Vultture bustin' out with a record number of teaser pics, showing every step, smoking his own peppers, and handcrafting virtually every ingredient... hard to deny.

I have read Vultures entire meal and all I can say is WOW! Got my vote for sure.

Had to go with Avon on this. I've seen the other posts of this, and it screams MAGIC. I'm actually scared to try this, as I fear it won't turn out like Avon's. Pics be damned....this is a winner!!!

But I have to go with Coach's entry...mainly because my stomach is still growling for a taste of that plate of goodies!!

I am very sorry I couldn't get in on this one. All I can say is I had all my ingredients, was ready, started cooking, and uh... life happens. That'll teach me for waiting until the final day. I have and am making all of my entry over the next couple days so I will post it in the DC for those who want to see. You have all done amazing entries, to the point that I am going to have to review them a couple more times to make up my mind. Well done everyone.

I think it's already been established that he's lurking around Sum's place. Well, or that he's sleeping off a drunken stupor somewhere...... That guy!

To me the pictures didn't really matter much in this one, if you read the descriptions, a lot of hard work and creativity went into all of them! They key is reading the recipes and what makes your mouth water. I actually could have voted for a few and if I voted today it may have been different there were so many good ones.

LB does all this effort into better plating and photography and you say it doesn't matter in this challenge?

True, mexican isn't the prettiest, And SD had a lot of good work and ingredients, was probably was really, really, really good.
LB edged it out though due to presentation for me, and the fact they really have tried to work that out recently.

I just felt like posting about The Rock when you said "doesn't matter", because like he says, it doesn't matter

Well pics always matter, so you are right, but with this one a lot of the hard work is inside things like burritos, rellenos, and fajitas, so reading is a must. That's what I'm saying.

That brings up a good point though. If you want votes, cut into your dishes so we can see what's inside. People vote based on pictures and I would not have know what was inside a lot of these without reading. Then I looked at teaser pics to see how you did it.

I agree...I voted for the pibil because I've seen the other thread about it, and the process, and result appears to be amazing. Pics are cool...but it looks like soupy meat...which could be any of a dozen Mex dishes, based solely on pics.

That being said, good-food-porn is nice. And yeah, I have been working hard trying to improve presentation on every meal I cook, every day.

You know, I should know better than to start looking through the TD entries before eating lunch. I had to stop half way through the entries and go make a couple quesadillas. And then I started a pot of pinto beans for dinner!
