TB, I know I speak for Sum when I say we reciprocate your fandom.
Except he wouldn't say it like that.
He'd say, "Love ya' more!!...do not (do too) do not (do too)".

This was a fun throwdown. I give it that.
Whoever makes sum's kebobs is going to love it. Roasting the peanuts like that on the chicken made it really good.
And that nigerian salad. Perfect. That will be a staple at barbeques and picnics for years to come.
That dish is truly vote worthy. And I tasted it to verify it's awesomeness.

So tempted to vote for the quinoa dish, though. That looked great too. They all did, really.
I'll let this play out for a little while...

TB I didn't bump it yes a 'noob' bumped it but I was apologizing for even starting it. No sorries from you needed.

Carry on........

I still can't decide would love to vote for my hubby for making me like curry but I think that's biased..... got two others in mind though. Still thinking..................... :)

Ha! FD.

It would play out as an arguement between me and TB like this:

"You're the man."

"No, you're the man."

(Repeat above several times.)

[Edit: taken out of American (U.S.) culture.... that just sounds so wrong.]

I had to go with Sum.

Kebabs I can relate to......

......African food in general? Not so much. It all looks like it has already been eaten once. Blech.

Wow. Everyone did an amazing job. It all came down to a couple things. Authenticity, creativity, and the overall dish. I liked so many individual parts of everyone's dish, but the best whole dish imo was Ela's this time, and she got my vote.

As an aside, I am so sorry that I couldn't contribute. I did have a great meal planned, and will be making it throughout the week and posting in another thread.

seems to be a 3 horse race. NICE!

It may not look proper on a plate, but man, throw down some long-stewed meats all peppery and crazy with spices, scoop it up with some injera bread. It just cries out for pepper fiends to get involved.

Narrowing vote to Salsa Lady (would require an unofficial write-in vote, I guess), Ela and MGold. Coaxed out the flavors, indeed!

Thanks everyone for the comments and votes! It actually turned out to be a pretty amazing TD. I learned a bunch, and ate some bad ass food. It is funny, I have never had or cooked Oxtails or Quinoa before and they turned out pretty damn tasty. So, thanks again for the support (even if Ramen got put on the back burner.....)

The wife is about to pop out this baby (been back and forth to the hospital too many times in the past 3 days), so I figure I better cast my vote....
It was pretty tough, but I wasn't lieing, those Mo'Betta Ribs looked pretty Mo'Mazin (cut me some slack, it sounds great in my head  ). So, LB, you got my vote (and should have last time). Good luck everyone and hopefully I can get some time to stop in and see how much I am crushin yall!

 Siliman, thanks, but I think THP is well protected against write in votes, hanging chads, and ballot stuffing.

Way to Go, MGOLD! Go get that little Chilehead out into the world! sending good vibes to your family, and you. (Quinoa is VERRRY under utilized.....)

We seriously need to get SL a pink tiara....... tho I really thought that was reserved for pouting adult males.... proved me wrong!

Here ya go....

Thanks, MGold...I appreciate it!

Also...if your wife is planningon nursing the baby instead of formula feeding...let me know. My wife is a lactation consultant if ya'll run into any issues.

Considering the thread, I just had an entire series of National Geographic run thru my mind.....

Hmmm, MGold has played an excellent upcoming 'Chile Child' card, with an attempted lactate upstage by LunchBox. So close. Man its tough to be a swing voter around here.

This post editted to reflect poor recipe research on my part. My apologies to anyone who happened along and might care. Scoville, many thanks.
