Good job all, some of the best plating I've seen in the TDs too. Sum, you got my vote but man I was REALLY torn. And since no one had bugs or rats on a stick, I went with yours. Assuming of course that you have grubs or something hidden in the salad. Is that racist? No, Africans actually eat bugs. And rat kabobs. True story.

True- I've eaten Aguti soup in CI and Mopane worms in Zimb

I love Wings, and I love Red Curry USDA BEEF! FTW!

Diamond, Ela, lunchbox, FanMan, MGOLD, FD4, Sum, very delicious looking.
Thanks for making this a hard choice. Very Hard. Congrats!

I admit to being biased towards SoFlo and the goin's on that they do just because that's the stuff I want to see and eat and they have some dang good photo skill's ta boot. Just to be fair, I look for reasons not to vote for them on purpose but on this t-down I felt that Sums Nigerian Kebob's just flat out blew away everyone else. All the other entries looked dang good too and I was also liking to be liking Bootsy' boot scoot boogie on the shrimps and piri piri but I'll say it again, Sum blew it up!

Consider me blowed! Sum FTW!!

Ahh, bootsie you entered!?
Last I checked you weren't going to, and local shops that sell specialist stuff around here aren't open Sundays. So I gave up if you yourself couldn't be bothered after all this drama.
Was going to go Ghana, skewered chilli beef on salad, and then some chilli chicken jollof. But as I said, your cool attitude to the thread after you championed the idea, and then you saying you weren't going to do anything, plus how awkward shopping for anything here african, turn me off even bothering.
Oh well, maybe I will make it for myself later anyway.

HAH! Y'all let Boots get up all in yer noggin's like Ali played George. Far as I'm concerned, Boot's stock just went up, way up! Welll played Boots!

Looks like anyone's game, y'all need to come vote!

I voted bootsieb i was allegic to the dish but it was the one that looked most appetizing to me second choice would have been sum of my bits third ela :)

mgold got my vote for the unusual (edit) cut of meat and the 2nd picture with everything all wrapped up in the homemade chapati......MMMmmmmm. Ela, you're a close second. LunchBox, I loved your sides, and SumBits, I'm copying your chicken skewers for dinner.

Congrats to everyone for really taking this one to heart, researching, and giving all the dishes an honest effort to represent African food.

yea, I know....I'll edit ....

OK, better word choice. :)

I used boneless skinless thighs. Cut in half.[Edit: roll them out and cut in half the long way.] And the peanut rub is up to your taste. (I rarely measure out seasonings.)

You WON'T be disappointed.

I apologize for the thread I seriously prematurely posted.... wasn't trying to distract from this thread. Please carry on and disregard my post.

Good job everyone. Best of luck with getting the crown.

MG- oxtail looked awesome man.
Sum-almost had me, but don't tend to order salads.
Everybody brought it this time but I had to go with the fresh bread.

Also, thanks for the votes guys, thought wings for the win but everbodys dish looked great.
