I'm old emough to remember when...

I'm old enough to remember when summer didn't start until June. What the hades
is up with it being 80 F in March?!?

Party lines. You could quietly pick up the phone and listen to your neighbor's con-
versation.

When we tied a yellow ribbon 'round that ole oak tree during the Iran hostage crisis.

And having a young crush on:

i remember when hot sauce and soap were ok to punish your kids with for cursing. boy did i hate that soap in the mouth

...it was cool to party in Juarez.

...we did duck and cover drills in class.

...The Bobby Fuller Four was just one of many garage bands in my neighborhood.

I'm old enough to remember... when AJ was old... and when TB won a TD

I'm old enough to remember watching the Electric Company, the Great Space Coaster, and HR Puff & Stuff.

I remember when Land of the Lost, Battlestar galactica & the 6 million dollar man were shows with great special effects.

I remember when Internet porn was a playboy centerfold turns into x's & o's but looked great from 15' away....and it took 37 mins to download & 5 more to print on a dot matrix printer.

I remember when video games weren't yet good enough to prevent us kids from going out & riding our bikes or throwing the football around.

I remember when people smoked everywhere. Restaurants, bars, playgrounds. I remember buying cigarettes as a 14 yr old. I remember Joe Camel, the Camel cigarette spokes-cartoon. I remember having a designated "ssmoking area" in HS. Crazy.

I remember a time with no cell phones, no digital film, no CDs much less mp3s

Wow I'm old.

I remember when the "100 Grand bar" was called the 100,000 bar".
