And what I meant was that he was able to taste the burger. I could go have the 4 people I served sign up for THP, say "hi" to 10 ppl ea on the welcome forum & win a crown. They all tasted it.

Considering it's basically the same as the burger I made when I thought I was "throwing down" complete with guac, I'm a little shocked.

Not saying it doesn't look tasty - I just think its the most boring of the 23 entries. I just went & looked at it again & couldn't contain the yawn.

I had to give my vote to Katrina. I just can't pass up rare kobe beef, blue cheese, and homemade buns. Nicely done!

P.K.'s rueben burger was a close second for originality. He would probably have my vote if he had made homemade bread.

All the burgers looked good, and no hating from me, but I have to wonder how many people vote based on comical titles. That's exactly how I pick horses. Whatever names get a chuckle out of me, or stand out for some reason over the others are the ones I bet on. I don't even look at the horses or any background info about them.

Nah - mostly just fooling around. But on this one I was being sincere - I honestly don't understand how with so many creative and interesting options that a basic bacon-cheeseburger is running away with it. It looks tasty - it also looks like something I've made/eaten 100 times and isn't much of a "throw down". I kinda thought there were style points in this thing.

Maybe it's getting so many votes because people see it and think, "oh, I know what that tastes like - I've had that a dozen times".

I think the Reuben Burger takes the creativity prize, followed by Sum's egg-tastic tower of power & then the pita/Papaya burger thing. I've seen Reuben burgers but they were a burger with sliced hot corned beef, kraut & thousand island on a rye bun - this one was a brined ground beef? Never seen that before.

No hate here - I'm all about the love. But the winning burger still makes me yawn.

I voted for myself as I thought mine had a good balance of creativity & flavor. No one else marinated pineapple in a hot pepper Teryaki or slapped a hamsteak on in place of bacon.

Ergo I thought mine was the best burger & I voted for it.

Not that I should have to justify my vote. Hmm - that sounds like something you said.

For what it's worth I already said the burger looked tasty - but I gave an honest opinion. In my opinion it is not a very creative burger so i'm surprised by the lead.

I complimented others who I thought had more style. I defended my own when challenged - I thought it was all in fun too until that. I think I'm a pretty fair dude. Don't like being called a hypocrite is all. If you say we're cool then we're cool.

It's just the way things go here LDHS. I had homemade pequin stuffed blue agave buns and topped my burger with shrimp dijon for crips sake! lol

WD had some really good pictures and won the crowd over with his name (just my assumption) His burger is just as good as any. The contest wasn't most creative out of the box burger, it's "Best beef burger" and regular old bacon cheese burgers with some guac. have been served and "Made 100 times" as you said yourself, for a reason. Give him credit where credit is due.

I was going to vote for myself as I thought my burger was the best (my taste buds told me so) until I saw "The sugar rush" OH MAY'UN! that on looks like I died and went to heaven. It yanked the prize right out from under me. (although I still love my burger)

Everyone is a crown winner on this one in my book. If I have 22 votes I would vote for them all. Congrats ladies and gentz. Hope to see you all next week, you will for sure see me!

That blurry second photo is haunting you, LDHS. Typically, posts with blurry photos get less votes, regardless of the ingredients, process, or description of what was made. The vote is won mostly through the eyes. Your burger is angry at you.

Oh I agree - and as I've tried to say many times I thought it was certainly a delicious looking burger. I absolutely meant no insult to anyone's burger - they're all awesome. Just seemed like an unlikely candidate to run away with it is all.
