Who had the best veggie (any vegetation) burger!

im voting for mine just cause. it tasted great for this first time vegie maker and the heat was in there big time. the patty held up even after being "thrown on the ground"

Had to go with Musky on this. There were some really good ones...BOOMA almost got my vote again, and I'm scared shitless as to what he's bringin' to tha THP in a week. SL's looked fantastic...Dawg's almost got me...looked pretty damn good...3/5 grilled his ass off...and...LDHS...yours were a top pick fo' sho. Great work THP'ers...too bad VeganRay couldn't join the party.

Off to go read some flavors....

Booma was a contender but that pomegranate sauce was not run through a sieve. I see hundreds of seeds and don't want that when eating a burger.

I too voted for my own this time. It was so good I had it for lunch again today - the orzo was what put it over the top. I see a lot of great creations, but not all are really what I'd go for if looking for a veggie burger. Geeme made a lovely desert for when I'm finished with my veggie burger.

(seriously though G - that looks spectacular. The star-shaped ice cream is great - overall a really beautiful dish!)

SL... the cream cheese threw me other than that lookin' good!

Up to DTS now... lookin' good but cornbread is a heavy burger bun... and I dig sour cream with Mexican not yogurt.

Damn, haha, i got rid of the excess liquid through the sieve, but i eat the seeds oh well

HH81 - next time break up your ingredients into sections so people can skim the flavors, at first glace looks like 30 things in the patty... and yeah need a better camera, unfortunately.

Sum, I love the simplicity of the patty, and it held together. Beans and some stuff... some people had a huge list, but I imagine yours tasted like a bean burger and not a bunch of other ingredients.

FarmerGuy - Wow, I'm seriously looking at this one gotta revisit.

geeme - Amazing.

It's not corn bread, but bread with corn in it. It's made with wheat flour.

Gotcha! Did a revisit.

Did the un-PC thing and voted for myself, only because I'm going to make it again :-)
The bacon really tasted like bacon. The mastiff was literally leaning against me anytime I was handling the seitan bacon.

A lot of really killer entries this week - lots of creativity out there.

Think my vote is going to be between Sum and Mojo, both look great, lots of flavours and colors going on. hmmmm decisions

geeme was the patty warm when served?

I am leaning towards Sum. Picklese, Picklese, Picklese. Mmmmmmm with that bean patty? Oh yeeaaahhhh.

I don't get the voting for yourself right out of the gate thing. Of course you like yours better, you ate it!
I can see it as a strategy at the end of voting to break a tie, or surge ahead at the last minute.....

Just my humble opinion :)

Ha. Felt like beans, tasted a bit like them just because they were there. No hiding that fact, but a good belch an hour later will tell you what the dominant flavors were... and it was NOT beans.

I hear ya. Sum is at the top for me right now cuz it's a bean patty with some shroom for meatiness and simply seasoned. He's got acidity with the picklese. Homemade bread... cheese, and heat. Pretty much what you like in a beef burger.

But I'm still looking.
