Oh man, woke up and I got pods all over the yard and the Spanish Naga/Waspie garden is flattened. Branches broken off the Spanish Naga. Dare say I could just stake and save most but don't think I'll be bothered and just rip 'em out and start prepping the bed for next season (once the swamp subsides and it dries out lol). Pots knocked over but doesn't look like any damage to 'em really. Main thing is, Butchie is still standing and got the superhots (and a couple other bits and pieces) safe and sound in the garage.
Kinda good in a way. Less plants to tend to, I might actually have the time to start doing stuff with the pods I've been stockpiling. Sauces, jams, grind the dried pods into powder and whatnot.

"sigh" tree bang crash boom hit the aquaponics system luckily the fence saved any real damage to the systems besides my main line from the sump to the fishtank got snapped off so the sump had completely dry. And for the chilli plants a fair bit of damage but they will all survive.

The wind is whipping around in a few different directions here at the moment and my plants are getting a bit more of a battering then I realised this morning ... hope they pull through ok ... seeing as the weathered all day yesterday without any damage minus a leaf dropping or 3 it would be a shame to sustain any damage now!! Pouring with rain here again for the past hour and the winds are still pretty wild ... meant to ease off after lunch I think

Brissy and Ippy waters are going down, I think. We are getting our flood peak tonight in Logan. Bundaberg still hasn't peaked either.
There's a lot of water around me ATM (I live near creeks). I honestly didn't expect to see so much! Thankfully I'm safe where I am though. Took some piccies this arvo, nothing super interesting (just water over roads, etc) but I'll post 'em tomorrow or something.
