Well, I haven't updated in a while. It's been hot here. So I just conceded that I wasn't going to get peppers and set to grow the plants until the temp dropped enough for the fruit to set. Here's the latest.

I think I'll try treating for caterpillars and get some pyrethrin. I have some malathion and sevin but don't want to use those just yet.

So, The attached pic is that of a naga7 but this is more prevalent on my purple bhut jolokia plant. The pods grow and, just when they are ready to ripen and change color, they get soft and develop holes. When I tear the pepper open, it looks fine inside. No fuzz. No dark lesions. No bugs.     ...

Yeah. Local Weather Station said high today of 106. Me thinks this weather station probe is a little wonky. However, when I went out there today to check on things...I could believe 115. Still have my feet in ice water from stepping on that concrete. 

Roughly 1 month from potting. backyard electronic thermometer read a high of 115 today.    Flowers on all except the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T.
