Sounds more like a suspension squeak to me, not a wheel bearing. Could be a balljoint or a control arm bushing.

No it's not a grinding sound at all, it squeaks, mainly on speeding up and turning corners but turning into certain corners, when the I turn to the left.
When does it squeak exactly? Rolling down the road? Or is it when you hit bumps? Your wheel more than likely won't fall off, though. If the bearing was getting that bad, you'd hear it all the time. And quite loudly too. It wouldn't be just a 'squeak'. More like a very loud grinding, roaring sound.
Have you had that look at yet? Sounds like it could be a bearing.
How in the world is YOUR car pre-historic? My P.O.S. is older than yours.

Good point, he likes to come home with little as info as possible. He shouldn't have had tech homework so soon anyway but he said his teacher was in a mood and gave it to them because he was called out of the classroom to talk to the head about his car been broken into and then a kid ran round his desk, knocked off his laptop and as it fell the memory stick with 5 years of kids exam results/homework etc. snapped in half. Con said he's an ex-cop and really strict. I didn't half laugh when I heard this, I'm ashamed to say, TBH I just had the word 'karma' going through my mind. Anyway, Con decided to do clay, plastic, metal/wood, then we came up with ice and sand, you know, just to make his homework a little more interesting for the teacher.

Oh, yeah i'm sticking with something i 'm familiar with. Besides, i'll definitely stay awake in a class about something that interests me, you know? My ass would be out cold in a creative writing class(even though i have written some poetry before), and there's pretty much zero chance of me getting a degree in literature or journalism. -
