seeds First from-the-seed year - some questions

I don't know if I missed it but what problems did you have growing from seeds? Germination? Leggy? Didn't make it when moved outside?   As far as being on the cheap. I would take a drive to a dollar store near you. I have had luck picking up mini green houses that I believe have 12 spots per...

    trade Seeds offer / trade

what is BASBE? I have some seeds (but they are over 4 years old). Digging them up to start planning out my grow. We moved a while back and havn't had a chance to get back in. BUT I built some new garden beds and ready to get back in.   What is BASBE? Once I get what I have I will send you a...

D3's 2018. This will be a good year.

Looking good! Makes me sad though. I had my lights all set up and ready to go. I started my seeds (only 128...). Signs of first hooks took off the dome. Bought a smart plug to put my lights on a timer. As i pulled out the plug the freaking prongs came out of the power adapter! So I was without...

D3's 2018. This will be a good year.

I ordered some 5630 strips from china haha! They actually work good. I rigged an old PC CPU to power them and it works good, kind of a ghetto set up so I ordered one set of strip lights with the power adapter/plug in and then will just solder on the other strips. I think I had 4 strips per shelf...

media Jiffy pods (cut the bag before transplanting?)

I see a few of you use the jiffy pods to start seeds. Thought about giving it a try. Read different reviews of removing the bag or keeping it. Thought I would get it direct from the experts themselves.     SO do you cut off the bag before transplanting or just leave them as is?

What size square pots are you using? Was going to order some supplies. Wasn't sure if I should go straight into square or start small and transplant

You are always so organized. Each year I try and each year I fail. Maybe this is the year.

    D3 2017 Keeping it mild.

Always enjoy your grows. I had a good year last year. To busy to take pics but at least half my plants produced well given the move to a new house.

Bansai Peppers! (ok just really tiny versions of the real pepper...)

Not sure what happened, could be that I had the plants in small cups for way to long before plant out, could be not enough nuts, could be just my luck.. however, picked some peppers (some may say maybe they weren't ready but I think they were as some never grew for a month or so...) anyway. put...

    Santi's 2016 Glog

So it has been so crazy buying a house, selling a house and not having my rich soil! My buddy was able to get me a load of some compost this weekend. Mixed it with some peat moss and got the rest of my chile's transplanted. I am not sure that they are going to make it as the roots were so root...

pests Aphids are ruining my fun.

Don't go to crazy and stress out the plants to much. Don't want to whack the pollinators!

pests Aphids are ruining my fun.

I already had a few lady bugs hanging around and just got some neem oil to get some of the others off. After a few days no more aphid issues.
