Thank you so much for your reply. I think you're right about egg cases, as they're actually flat. Also there were white little rings on some of them that we assumed was something to do with whiteflies. We can't seem to grow them from seed here, as the instant a leaf shows up so do the pesties...

RB and I and our 3 year old daughter are looking for some shelter from Hurricane Irma, if we have to evacuate. Hopefully somewhere way outside of Florida. The county has run out of sandbags now and the local gas station doesn't have any gas.we're not panicking, but we'd like to keep all options...
