I'm not really one for reaching out for help unless I can give back in return.. I've launched this page in the hopes of raising enough to get past a few hurdles and I'll happily give back whatever way I might to those who help out: http://www.gofundme.com/superhotscanada
I'm slowly piecing together a database and website for tracking my new seedlings. I intend to evolve it into a full-fledged journal system where I'll be able to track details from the point of planting, each transplant, feedings, watering, first flower, first pod, etc: http://cart.superhots.ca/growlist/
Just over a week ago I planted 24 varieties (2 seeds of each). So far, 15 have sprouted including: 7 Pot Bubblegum, Carolina Reaper, Brain Strain (Red), Bhut Jolokia (White), Moruga Scorpion, Datil, Bhut Jolokia (Orange), Black Congo, 7 Pot Congo SR Gigantic, Devil's Horn, Farmers' Jalapeno
I basically -drown- my plants in soapy water with a pressure spray bottle over and over and they just come back with a vengeance within days.. may have to start all-new plants at this rate.
First attempt at selling at a flea market - I sold a single pumpkin pie and three packs of seeds (mild varieties). Factoring in the cost of the table, I broke even.. If I try again maybe I'll have to bring cookies and muffins to attract people. lol
Whenever I've been adding Ghosts or Brown Naglahs to my food over the few months I've jokingly teased my mother by trying to convince her to give a piece a try. Did the same tonight, she said no - as always, and I thought nothing of it.. I go upstairs and start eating and suddenly all I hear is yelling "HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP?!" .. Apparently she decided to lick a tiny piece. *shakes his head* Took a glass of milk to calm her down.
