(Link Added 5/7/25)
Here's my TikTok video updates for my Glog

I plan on restarting small. I ordered Chocolate Reaper seeds from Matt's Peppers (ETA Tuesday 2/14) and will be using my patio to grow the plants. I measured it out, and with the 5-gallon Home Depot buckets from my previous venture, I should have space for 24 on the balcony, using drip irrigators and a fertilizer injector.

I'll be sure to post up pics soon when I begin the seeding process.

Update 2/14/2025: Here's the first pics. Thanks to Matt's Peppers for the quick delivery and the freebies included in the package. I'll be starting my grow this year with Chocolate Reapers.

So.... I decided to call a mulligan on my most recent seed trays after the vast majority of the seedlings succumbed to sunburn.

That being said, I had enough remaining Chocolate Reaper seeds that I'll be starting two new trays. I've already got the seeds soaking, and tomorrow morning, I'll be planting them in starter soil and I'll be putting the trays outside from the get-go. That way, however many seedlings that do manage to sprout, will already get acclimated to the heat

25 seedlings now. I don't think I've seen starter leaves that big on some of the older seedlings

32 seedlings now, and the first few that popped up have the first inklings of true leaves on them.

As an aside, is it normal for the cotyledons to be so large? A number of the seedlings are over an inch across end-to-end, and the individual cotyledons almost a centimeter wide. I remember when I previously grew peppers back in 2012-2015, I don't recall the initial cotyledons being so large.

Many of the older seedlings I have are now ~3 weeks old, and the tray's have been outside since 6/5. The seedlings have been tolerating the Florida heat, wind and occasional bit of rain quite well. I'm starting to wonder if I should start to put them in direct sun for a few hours, and then bring them back into the shaded area before it gets too direct

Been keeping tabs on my seedlings, and I do believe it's time to replant them into the planters. The gameplan is to get some new soil from Home Depot later this week (nothing special just plain old topsoil, since I had great luck with it during my last go at this back in 2015). I'll also need to order some worm castings for my fertilizer injector. With any luck, the decent temps will hold, since the last few days, they've been relatively steady at the low 80's in the day and upper 70's at night.

I also checked the roots on them, and all the bigger seedlings already have roots coming out of the cells they're in.,
