    The weather has been staying reasonably safe and is supposed to stay that way for at least another week or so.. But it just HAILED for a few minutes. Will my plants be alright or would it be best to take them in now?

    A couple of the first seed packs I sold a few months back (Cayenne & Super Chili) to a small Hydroponic shop owner in my county now has some massive plants, full of pods, growing in his shop using just one 600w light (I believe) in a small hydroponic setup. Gives me confidence that the seeds I'll be selling will do well :D

    Just ended up pepper-spraying the house by tossing in a few semi-dried Naglah pods into my curry. Opps.

    We got our first frost warning today grrrr.. I did my best to group my babies together as best I could to wrap them in plastic held down with rocks... I'm hoping that works. :(

    ;-) My cousin in Calgary posted a status to FB: It's fun going from shorts and flip flops to snow pants and snow boots in less than 24 hrs!

    Had a short trip to the Halifax area today.. Picked up a couple new plants: A "Pompeii Pepper" (a type of Bell, I believe) and what I believe to be Purple Cayenne (it wasn't labeled). :)

    Nice! I have 9 Ghost plants outside, but only one is really doing well - the rest have may 1-3 pods, if they're lucky.

    P.s. Deer can be real pricks. We have a large yard that has been mostly converted to flower gardens that they have and can continue to munch on.. so what do they do? They mutilate my poor Butch T that's older than my Brown Naglah and has yet to set a single pod, along with doing the same to my 007 Red and another grrr

    Picked up some chicken wire and going to attempt to build a fence to deter the buggers tomorrow. *nod*

    With humidity it's been staying around 30*C (~85*F) for the past couple of weeks at least and my outside plants are LOVING it. My Naglah used to put out maybe 2-5 pods at a time inside. Outside? Right now I'm seeing it start on around 12-18 just in the past week. Same with my best Habanero. So proud.

    PT - yup, definitely. This is my first time putting pepper plants outside. After the aphids and screw up at hardening, they lost most of their leaves.. Now they're making an impressive comeback and seem to be pushing out as many buds as new leaves and branches :)

    After many, many months my grow room is nearly free of aphids. Only spotting around one a day, at best, in the past couple of weeks.

    Dang, cruzz - where did you get yours from? The ones I got from buglogical.com decimated the aphids in no time. Green lacewing larvae also do a good job. SHC - Glad to hear they're getting under control, and hope you can utterly wipe them out.

    I think what's helped is that a) I put the majority of my plants outside back in June and b) I've been leaving the lights on 24/7 for a couple weeks or more now.. gonna be hell on the power bill, but it seems the aphids don't much like that.

    @geeme Same place I think. They got rid of most of them, but they kept coming back and the bugs like to stays still and hide whenever someone goes by. And with how often I check to see if peppers ripening started or on some pitcher plants....

    That's a neat video. And that much I've always known. But somehow, my recorded voice (or even hearing it over the phone) sounds much different to others, too. I'm an anomaly, I guess. :) .. I'll just happily avoid audio/video interviews.

    Less than a week ago I planted 2 Reaper seeds and 3 Brown Naglah - all from my own pods. First Reaper popped tonight :) Hope it survives! *crosses fingers*
