    I was picking peppers on my balcony earlier and a woman happened to walk by and ask if they were hot. I was like very very VERY hot (bubble gums).... you want one? I tossed a ripe one down to the sidewalk for her and told her again it was very hot. Wonder what she'll have to say to me next time she's walking by.

    She will probably say 'you were right, that was extremely hot!'

    I gave a co-worker a few plants; she ate part of a Red Bhut Jolokia; her comment was 'Ate a seed, I am in hell, what is it?' I warned her, these peppers are no joke.

    jelly or salsa/sauces imo. they aren't all that great fresh.

    saute with a little shallot and garlic, habs,then add brown sugar

    cook down till a nice glaze add a little port and splash of balsimic vin pour over grilled duck breast

    I feel like the last week I have been running around non stop putting out figurative fires at work and home while sick. Finally feeling better but my brain is still laggin' behind. I (hopefully) left my phone and "wallet" at work today after spending the day dealing with yet another problem.

    Got a one night trip planned next weekend! Have a longer trip planned in Sept. but after the past week at work I'm already stressing being gone from work for a week. So much to get done before I leave and then I just have a feeling I am going to come back to even more problems.

    I turned 30 and everything went downhill. Doc said it wasnt strep, but combo of allergies, a virus, and just lack of adequate rest. Screaming at the Milan game Wed. night probably didnt help either.

    Gotcha. Rest for sure. For symptoms. I like a broth with some garlic, basil, favorite chile powder. For night time relaxation. Tila/Linden flowers, chamomile, honey, lemon/lime juice, some sort of mint optional. Will make you get a good night sleep and soothe throat. Hope you feel better.

    Going to AC Milan vs Bayern Munich tonight... Not expecting too much out of Milan but glad to be able to watch Donnarumma before they (probably) sell him off like every other young talent they've come across recently.

    Street vendor outside of the carwash today was peeling and slicing mangoes, salting them, then covering them in lime juice and chili powder. So good.

    Not a week seems to go by anymore without incident at home. Abandoned/maybe stolen scooter left in the middle of our driveway, or maybe it was the same guy just being a dick.

    I did call the cops when dude noticed a note near the scooter that said "I have you on camera taking the plates off but I still have the VIN". They came by earlier but scooter is still there. I even got in touch with a friend of mine at CPD and she can't believe all this crap that we've been dealing with for the past couple months. We aren't her district so she can't personally help us out, but she's been giving us advice for how to handle the situation.

    google best odds rub. there are several versions (for ribs/pork/etc). Then he can play around with ratios to find what he likes. I hear DruBQ is pretty good too lol ;)

    Found mango habanero kombucha at whole foods. Its not bad but I don't taste any hab, mostly just mango.

    That’d be awesome! I’m in S. Carolina- literally ‘Reaperville’… just a hop & a skip (few mins. drive) away from Puckerbutt. Last things I fermented were some collard kraut alongside some carrots & ginger. There was however (unintentionally) that fresh pineapple that caught some wild airborne yeasts & fermented in the fridge into a SUPER foamy/bubbly/alcoholic tropical treat a few months ago! Lol. Spent a few hrs. watching YT vids & reading...

    In 9 years of volunteering at an annual golf outing to benefit Downs Syndrome research, we finally raised over $1 million dollars today. Since we've started doing this they've found correlations between Alzheimer's and Down's, 50% of the research funded has actually helped Alzheimer's treatment moreso than Down's, but they now have a drug in trials for downs that has had very promising results in adults and teens. It's awesome to see how far things have come!

    Awesome! Any advancement towards better treatment/a cure is great! I hope no one here encounters Alzheimer's in their family- grandfather on my moms side had it. (I was young but I still remember him not having a clue who I was & eventually his daughter & even his wife!) Really scary! Oddly enough (pure coincidence!) my grandmother/his wife worked w/ special needs for 30+ yrs. in development classes in schools.

    First world problems... When amazon 2-day shipping is expected to arrive in 1 day. I'm not going to be home all day tomorrow until pretty late which means the package will probably get stolen even though its just dog vitamins and some other uneventful stuff.

    Advice time... a month ago I was having issues with a guy illegally parking and blocking my driveway, his car got towed, and he flipped out on us a day later. Thought it all blew over until last night he approached my dude as he was getting out of his car and started being aggressive and following him to our door.     There is a different SCOBY to use honey and green tea, something about the honey being antimicrobial so a regular SCOBY wouldn't work. I'm looking forward to trying it. Will update if it is successful.

    there's a buncha rouge cilantro growing in the back yard. I can't for the life of me get it to grow when I want to but I'm happy that it decided to magically show up.
