Well we aren't used to those temps ;) could almost feel my face melt off :P The peppers withstand it luckily, no fall out so far!

They will love the heat. Especially the chinense.

My chinense do not like extended periods above 95, or night time temps above 80F. My wife and I moved here for the warm weather over other grad school choices. I started growing quantities of plants in 2009. I think it was 2011 that we had 90 days at or over 100F. It was brutal and very depressing. My grow logs show that well. The tepins are quite adjusted to the climate. I dread breaking out the shade screens knowing my plants will slow down/ halt production. Wondering how bad it wil...
Rain, rain, rain, rain. Just when I was about to work the garden, we have rain again. When is this summer really coming? :(

Hey Sethsquatch appreciate that! Everything is going great with the upcoming baby and peppers :)
Hey there meatfreak! Just thinking about you and your growing family. Hope everything is going smooth with the baby and pepper growing!

Yeah, it's even hotter today and should be the rest of the week. It's unreal for this time of the year, normally fall is doing his thing. Still no ripe pods though, but should be any day now.
Look what I've found in the mailbox today! And also a suprise from nmorris279 earlier this week: <a href="http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i453/meat_freak/IMAG0602.jpg" rel='nofollow external' class="su_links">http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i453/meat_freak/IMAG0602.jpg</a>
Well, as if all the rain was enough to make it hard to grow plants. Now a tropical hailstorm with hailstones the size of almost 3inch destroyed all my plants I had this season. Didn't even had the chance to harvest a pepper... photo's of the horrorshow will come tommorrow. Off to bed now and try to get some sleep :(

Apparantly it was a leftover from Katia. This was in the netherlands... first time ever in my life that I witnessed such thing over here. Alot of people had damage. The climat is really changing.
