Now this is purple!!!!! (Pruning question too)

they're Giant Jalapenos, and it's only these 3 out of 45 total plants (in pots so far). They're also the biggest plants I've got right now. What'da ya think of em'? also, do you guys prune or "top" your plants? would this help keep some of these bigger ones shorter, and bushier?

OhioGrown's First Ever Glog 7-18 update, with pics, Pods are coming!!

Yeah, I've learned not to use the peat pots anymore. I have some left and once they're gone, they won't be replaced. They do dry out pretty quick. I like the peat pellets for germinating though. It's still my first time growing from seed. I had a huge aphid problem too, but luckily I think I got...

a couple of my taller skinnier seedlings are a little yellow. i'm trying not to overwater them. here's a picture of one. and a pictue of one of them that's pretty decent in the bunch. Those two are Trinidad Scorpion Moruga Blend, these two are Giant Jalapeno: These are all from peat...

seeds Now I have too many seeds thanks to Pepperlover.com

Hey LordPepper, I think it depends on how hot they got. From what I've read, when you dehydrate peppers in a dehydrator, that they won't germinate. I did that with all my peppers last year and kept all the seeds (until i read that).

I usually do the second week(end) of May as well. Last year I got them out May 5th, but I took the chance of having a freeze too. I'll be moving my whole shelf system out to my insulated woodshop in my garage in April. Then I'll start my veggies, cucs, tomatoes, corn, maybe zuc's too. I'll post...

Best mulch for vegetable gardens? Or weed screen?

what's everyone's opinion on mulch or weed screen for outdoor gardens? i've used the black weed cloth/screen stuff the last couple years, and if i get it put down pretty decent, i get no weeds coming up at all. I could also use my grass clippings, but not sure i want to go through all that. I...
