    If I use rocks as "mulch", my plants would be toasted. Rocks take up heat, I only use it with a Pachypodium.

    The burn is just one aspect from the pepper experience. To detach your concentration from it is not particularly difficult. However, merely "observe" the burn while body and mind become agitated, dealing with sweat and hiccups, well, I didn't find that easy at all.

    Yes. Hard. Capsaicin activates the unconscious circuit, it signals your body (and mind) to move. I found it difficult not to engage with the burn. Of course, when I say "burn" I really do mean :fireball:.
