Excellent, quite a bit more heat than the store brand. I used peanut oil, worked great but the oil thickens when refrigerated. Need to resolve that issue with a different oil next time.

I cant find the muchos this yr at any of the usual vendors. Home depot, lowes, fred Meyers, etc. I did see some cow horn though. Never grew those yet so will grab one this morning and get it in the ground.

I would transplant that Reaper into it's own large pot. There doesn't appear to be enough good soil available for that little guy in it current location. Here's my two Reapers put into shade yesterday to begin hardening off for transplant.

Give it some shade...anything blocking the sun/direct heat during hottest periods. Give it mild ferts once a week, water as needed in between. It will bounce back in no time.

I'd watch closely for some kind of cut worms or other pests. That is not typical leaf drop.

Hardening off takes about 2 weeks. Any new growth with your current daily conditions will just keep harming the plant. Put them into morning sun for a couple hrs...then shade for the duration of the day. Last yr I put up a large patio umbrella to shade the superhots from 11am thru 4/5 pm as...

Transplant into new pots and soil....flush old soil 3-4 times with h20 before repotting. Get a dog, remove the feline.

That monster has to be rootbound. Bigger the pot, bigger the plant. I'd move that beauty into something at least 3 times larger.

I put these two into the raised bed yesterday afternoon. Hope I'm not rushing things and we get no frost next 30 days.

I picked up a couple tomato plants and a lemon cuke with 4 starts and 6 brocoli in a tray pack. I plan on a shishito later today once I get out and about and a couple mucho jalepenos if i can find em.
