    Moruga Welders 2017 Grow

Good start Frank.  Looking forward to seeing how that MOA turns out.  I hope they keep up with their consistent shapes.  And great that you chose the Safi, hope that one turns out for you.  I think that is the best tasting bonnet type I have tried yet.  I only had a few pods last year as plant...

    OCD 2017!!!

NIce quick sprouts.  I don't know why but that method didn't work very well for me.  Weird how everyone has a way.  I like that way though as its so easy to see when you have sprouts starting.  The damn folded towels in a paper bag I use is a pain but it seems to be the one that I have the best...

Tridents Bonnet Set - Season 4

Good luck John.  Looking forward to seeing your plants, they are always fantastic.  I think everything I got from you has sprouted now.   Got a nice selection of bonnets also.     I thought the ones I grew last year were very similar to Bahamian Goats.  So much so I wondered if it wasn't just a...

    OCD 2017!!!

Good luck Chuck.  Get those things going.  I need to start a glog if I get the time.  I must say while not perfect things are going much smoother so far this year.  Started more earlier though.  I have almost all chinense strains except maybe a dozen at least germinating and have over 100 little...

Devv-2017-Having a good time in the dirt

3 years, damn, I wish I was so lucky.  I have no end in sight.  But we sound exactly alike these days.  Thats probably why I got so into peppers again in the last few years, to get away from the technological thinking.

Devv-2017-Having a good time in the dirt

Good luck with you grow this year.  Nice to see an early start.  Just started a handful myself.  I think we have the same thoughts on IT.  I do it for work and once home last thing I want to do these days is any real IT stuff that requires thought.   My computers now are used to store pictures...

seeds Looking for BIG Ghost Pepper seeds......

Don't know if these are what you are considering big, but I thought they were nice size.  If want to try any send me a message.  Like others said environment plays a big part, so not sure if they would grow as big in your area, but maybe they would be even bigger, hard to tell for sure.   Bhut...

    Prolific supperhot variety's

For your first choice, in my opinion you made the right choice.  The Peach Bhut to me is far superior to the red.  Everything about it I like better, it tastes better, its as hot, probably hotter.  My best plant of Wicked Mike's strain this year easily put out over 300 pods, was extremely...

    vendor 96strat ROCKS!!!!

Yeah, I know.  I have received some pods from Andy last year.  I think he sent 5 or 6 varieties and I think they all were in the top 10 I had last year.  He doesn't know much other than wicked.  These brown morugas though are something out of this world.  I can't possibly take a picture that...

    vendor 96strat ROCKS!!!!

I wish I had such a great teacher.    I just got some pods from Andy.  I have got some in the past, and they have always been outstanding.  Some of the biggest I have ever received, but what I just ordered from him is unreal.  Everything was outstanding but the Brown Morugas in here were...

    Lime pepper

I send seeds to Australia all the time.  I only know of maybe one that didn't make it.  I haven't labeled the species yet, I normally just put the name of the variety.  Most of what I do have is C. Chinense.  I don't understand why baccatum is allowed but chinense not, but oh well.  I do need to...

    RANT!!! just need to VENT!

I used to take about 2 grocery sacks a week to people at work so people could take what they want.  I quit doing that after last year.  Now I selectively take some to the few who appreciate it, those that never thanked and I feel never probably did anything with them after taking them don't get...

chinense SAFI RED , HABANERO CARIBBEAN RED , RED SAVINA , WHOS THE BEST ?

Yeah, Safi red I think might be the tastiest pepper I have tried yet.  It beat all the other bonnets I had this year.   If I had to pick one, I would grow this before MOA or any of the others.  My plant got off to a bad start only about a dozen pods this year but will grow a few plants next year...

Standouts and disappointments from my grow this season

I had similar troubles with choco brain strain.  I had 3 or 4 plants, I don't think I have picked a pod.  Lost one, others are runts or not producing for some reason.  Weird about jigsaw, I have had no troubles with it and they produce well and are a great superhot, one of the hottest I have...

    JCW 2016

Thanks, Paul.  But I really think the weather here last 2 years has just been good for some big pods.  I don't do much.  I keep it so simple.  I bought all my nutes for like 3 years this fall at walmart clearance.  I do want to find some quality stuff for the early days from say 2 weeks after...

    Chocolate Primos

These were definitely more productive for me this year than CPR.  I thought they were really hot also, but mine seemed a touch on the bitter side, but not as bad as others.  I do agree with you on the chocolates and bitter / nasty.  Some of the worst peppers I ever had were chocolate supers...
