Have you started growing for 2015?

I have a couple of experiments going on here for next years grow.  But, as of now,  I do believe that I will start to germinate next years seeds next weekend.  I am a second year grower and we had a bad start this year, and none of my super hot varieties were ready until late September this...

    blender for powders

I second the Magic Bullet.  I bought one this year and regret not doing so much earlier.  Started with a Slap-Chop, then an Ultimate Chopper, then up to the Magic Bullet.  My only suggestion to you is to make sure the top/cup, is sealed on its own.  The Ultimate Chopper was not, so while busting...

soil White Mold On Top Of Soil

Ok, thank you all for your help, re-assurance, and conformation.  I will look a little further for the information on the hydrogen peroxide and water mix.  As for too swampy damp, I do wait until they are dry then water, but do agree for the no airflow condition, as there is none there.  I do...

soil White Mold On Top Of Soil

Hi there again.  I have just started to notice a fuzzy white type of mold, I think, on top of a few of my new peppers in their cups.  They are in Scotts potting soil, and watered only when dry using the bottom water method.  Is there anything someone here can please tell me I am doing wrong.  As...

    indoor Starting Peppers Indoors Question

@CAPCOM - Yes you may ask what and how many of each I am growing, as I am looking for help.  This is my list as of now, and may include 1 or 2 more varieties, give or take, but I would really like to grow what I will list.  Also, my intent as of now as well is to grow 2 of each of the following...

How many times do you touch...

Last year, coffee filters to seed starting tray, to Solo cups, then final resting places.   This year, I will be going from coffee filters to 3 1/2" square pots in trays (WalMart) and Solo cups, then to their final resting places, so I will be eliminating 1 step this year.

    food BREAKFAST!!!

Ok, sorry for no pictures, but just a couple of fried eggs today, and of course a shake of Moruga Scorpion powder added.  Now this was the easy part.  Listening to the other half coughing, choking, and sneezing for about an hour after putting in my powder.  As well as the above all of the...

    food First Attempt At Toffee

Well, I am so fast, I cut it with my ninja hands...  Just kidding.  I did honestly cut it up with just a cheap kitchen knife.  It was more on the softer side, I guess it would have been similar to a fresh baked cookie texture/consistency.  I read a few things and I saw a slight change in color...

    food First Attempt At Toffee

Ok.  Second time, same as the first, a little bit hotter, a little bit worse....  Ok, did it again.  Only difference was that I had let it cook a little bit longer which in turn the toffee turned a very dark golden color.  Melted my chocolate and put on top again.  All of this after sipping on a...

    food First Attempt At Toffee

@Roguejim, yes besides the heat, it is a standard toffee recipe.  And as for the buttery flavor, I am not too sure on that one as I am not really a big sweets person, so I cannot give an honest answer.  But I do feel that it is more on the sweet side as well as it was always mentioned by my...

    food First Attempt At Toffee

Ok, as promised, and a bit late, here are a couple of pictures.  The pictures are of the finished product cut up and ready for distribution.  It was an overall hit, and will be doing it again.  As I used Carolina Reaper powder, it was instantly sweet with a nice mild creaping heat that was not...
