legal Anyone know the legality of using an alcoholic ingredient in a non-alcoholic food item?

I haven't made a bar-b-q sauce in the last 20+ years that didn't have Old No7 in it and to the best of my knowledge it didn't have any "side-effects" when using it  . I do a slow simmer when making sauce and I feel it takes away the vast amount of alcohol. I like to think old J.D. would...

How close is too close for growing

My intention is purely for my own needs. I just wanted to keep things separated if possible so that they keep their uniqueness. I like my bonnets alone for my own sauces and like to use just the Jam Hot Chocs for beef dishes but in the same breath use them combined for my other dishes along with...

How close is too close for growing

In the past I've only grown 2 types of peppers, scotch bonnets and Jamaican hot choc. I was told that I didn't have to worry about cross pollinating with them but as I'm expanding the types I grow I get concerned with this issue. How far apart would plants have to be to avoid this problem...

    First Fatalii

I'm growing some Fataliis this year(at the moment 12). I was looking for something to blend with my Scotch Bonnets and Jamacain Hot Chocolates once smoking/drying time comes around. I'm not fond of the Hab flavor so I hope these do the trick. Goodluck on your growing this year.....if spring...

    Grill Smokin' Assistant...on hold

...with aluminum there no concern with the plating wearing or not being properly done and also there still is the cost factor. I set a 20lb weight on top of a 3 tier setup and it held it quite well with very minimal bowing/and stable (I don't think I can put 20 of peppers on it though...lol)...

I'm not fond of brussel sprouts but asparagus is a different story. One of my fav ways was already mentioned above. I cut/trim the bottoms (to your likings) wash....pat dry...lightly coat w/olive oil, dried garlic, sea salt... I have a fav mix spice I use then(no heat)... bake for 12 mins in...

recipe-help Looking for a good Genral tso's chicken recipe

I'm lucky to have a place in my lil town called "The Happy Wok" that does a pretty good job at making Gen.Tso and some of the best crab rangoon I've ever had, not too mention I can asked the lady to make it as hot as possible and they oblige. For those that don't have a place like this I'd like...

    Grill Smokin' Assistant...on hold

The majority of the pieces, 13" discs and the 2.5" spacers are aluminum the only actual part being S.S. is the base bolt which is also the only part not made in the USA(but I'm getting a new supplier soon) Soon to be 100% made in USA (pkging included) Stainless would be HUGELY expensive...

    Grill Smokin' Assistant...on hold

I've already checked on the cost of that some time ago and I'm pretty sure folks would not to pay that additional cost. It's amazing what a simple process can cost when involving presses and creating dies for them. Thanks for your input. Ed G aka OhioHeat

How to get someone to pay via phone at garage sales and farmer's market

LDHS I'd have to agree that when selling smaller ticket items that .30 + 2.9 can add up quick to the bottom line. I primarily use ecrater as a "ok, I didn't see it right away but it doesn't cost me anything to have it there and if I sell it through there so much the better." I never pay...

How to get someone to pay via phone at garage sales and farmer's market

I guess I'm going to have to join this century and get a smartphone that has these capabilities. Although I currently don't sell anything pepper related (soon though ;) ) I do have 2 online stores which use Google Wallet, and once you have a merchant acct setup with them it's another great...
