Not trying to hijack the thread, but smokemaster, how did those Aji Limo Rojo taste..? I got Limo Rojo seed from DudeThtsBad, who says he brought 'em back from Peru. They're growing nicely, but no pods yet (late start).

Isn't the "Peruvian Yellow" an Aji Amarillo? I think the Chinense variety may be Aji Limo (from Lima), and not Aji Limon, which could be the same as Lemon Drop/Hot Lemon..(?). I'm also confused by some of these Aji names, but I think I have growing: Aji Amarillo, Aji Limo (rojo), and Hot Lemon...

Looks much like an Anaheim or New Mexico variety. Have you tried one?

My dogs sometimes pull the peppers off & just play with 'em....but damn, I don't get a single ripe tomato that's below the 2' level!

You'd be surprised... I went back there today, plant tag in hand, and told them "I think this is a Jerusalem Cherry"... They told me that they "don't think so, why would their grower plant and supply those?" They still had 4 plants of it left. Here's a pic of the tag, and it says, plain & clear...

I picked up this one at a local nursery...Mixed in with all of the edible peppers! They didn't know anything about it. I should probably be a good guy, and go back & mention to 'em what sort of "pepper" it appears to be. ;)

Hey - Thanks for that..! It does look very much like "Solanum Psuedocapiscum". I'll wait and see what the pods ripen like, and maybe even taste one.. If it's nasty and bitter, out it goes, and something useful gets put there. I've got a bunch of Aji Amarillo seedlings that need a spot... :)...

Latest pic: The peppers are looking like "marbles", but the leaves look narrower to me than the "marbles" plants have. I'll post another pic when the pods ripen, and describe how they taste... Hopefull it's more than ornimental. :)

The "Hungarian Black" I've been growing, have the purple blossoms, with some purpleish stripes on the stems. The fruits are similar in size and shape to small jalapeno, and go from green to black, to a maroon when fully ripened. Taste is sweeter than Jalapeno, with heat a little milder than...

Could it be the same peppers known as "Pinochio's Nose"? If so, they're quite tasty... A friend sent me a jar of pickled ones... Mmmm, good!

The rounder peppers pictured in his eBay listing look just like the Chocolate Habaneros I grew last year. Looks like a couple of different peppers there, to me. I'd like to try a few. Even if they turned out to be Caribbean Reds (I like Caribbean Reds) or Chocolate Habs, that's OK... :)
