I was browsing the forums and came across a link to the Bowers Chile Pepper Festival this year, and it looks awesome! This will be my first ever pepper festival and I literally cannot contain my excitement! :woohoo:
So who all is going this year? Would love to meet some of...
First off, that's one hell of a seed list! I envy your variety
As far as which pepper to choose, I wanna say red fatalii, but the purple jalapeno would be cool too...
I want to be in a war movie. I don't necessarily have to be one of the main guys, maybe a prominent extra or something. It doesn't necessarily matter which war/era either, although WWII would be my first choice.
A picture or two would help to give a more accurate diagnosis, but it sounds like it could be one of three things:
Corking: this is a genetic trait of the plant and it does not adversely affect the pepper in any way. In fact, some people prefer peppers with corking over regular peppers...
Well, it appears I may have opened a can of worms with my question lol my bad!
As far as the setup goes, I figure in terms of size it would only be one or two 5gal. buckets. I'm not sure if I am going to brew this season or if I am going to hold off until next season. Or I could possibly...
Thanks, Nigel, that means a lot! I love watching all of your video reviews!
Thank you! As I said earlier I'm sure this is only the first of what are hopefully many more reviews to come. I talked to Jim and he said he's down for some future videos
You're quite welcome, and thanks! This was fun, I doubt it will be my only review.
I have yet to eat a scorpion pepper of any kind, but I'm certainly open to the idea. Next year I should be growing some Butch T's!
Thanks guys! I'm thinking for any future pod reviews I'll be sure to bring back Jim. What's funny is just a few minutes before we shot this video he had just finished recovering from eating a yellow fatalii for the first time! The results were similar lol
My pod review video has finally been posted! <a href="http://thehotpepper.com/topic/49189-here-it-is-my-first-pod-review-video-7-pot-yellow/" rel='nofollow external' class="su_links">http://thehotpepper.com/topic/49189-here-it-is-my-first-pod-review-video-7-pot-yellow/</a>
Hello fellow pepper heads! I finally got around to doing some minor editing and uploading of my first ever video pod review! Todays pepper is the 7 Pot Yellow. Before this video, none of us had ever had anything close to this kind of heat (did I mention this was a group review?). Overall is...
Milk or olive oil generally, followed by soap and water. Or you can be a MAN...
just kidding on that last part, shit burns like hell lol! :fireball:
oh and don't use the bathroom until you've been decontaminated...
Once again I was on one of my favorite sites called woot, this week they are selling portable greenhouses for what appears to be a good price. Are they worth getting at this price, or would it be better/more cost effective if I were to make my own? I have no experience whatsoever with...
